Melodyne studio edition, the version for the professional studio, offers
Celemony's unique Local Sound Synthesis technology for a totally new and
more creative form of access to audio data. Melodyne analyses audio data
and allows you to edit parameters like pitch, phrasing and timing
independently of one another and with complete freedom, yielding results
of unsurpassed quality all non-destructively and in real time. Melodyne
helps fix timing and intonation problems and therefore makes music
production more efficient. At the same time, however, the program offers
undreamed-of possibilities for the creative interaction with audio,
allowing you to rearrange existing recordings and even combine them with
one another. Melodyne is therefore one of the most versatile of all
remix tools.
The single-track version of Melodyne works like a sample editor, only
with the typical Melodyne functions, making it the ideal tool for the
correction of pitch, the production of vocals and the editing of
melodies. At all times, Melodyne uno reacts in a highly musical way
preserving, for example, the original phasing and even the vibrato when
correcting the pitch, as well as recognizing the underlying scale and
transposing correctly from a musical standpoint. The program is easy to
learn and use, and there are macros for the two most often used editing
functions, Correct Pitch and Quantize Timing, that make it possible to
tidy up a performers intonation and timing errors with the minimum
number of mouse clicks.
