M3U files are simple text files used to "stream" MP3 files. You can find them at many excellent sites like CD Baby and Magnatune. Sometimes, you might want to keep the real MP3 file, instead of just streaming it. This program (m3u2mp3) does just that.

Jogging with an iPod is fun, but even a big music collection gets tiring if you listen to it every day. RadioRecorder lets you take a selection of your favourite internet radio stations along with you.
With Radioshift, radio is on your schedule. Like a personal video recorder (PVR) for radio, Radioshift enables internet and AM/FM radio to be recorded automatically and listened to at any time.
Radioshift can be used to...
...explore and listen to over 50,000 radio listings from around the world.
...subscribe and automatically record any of thousands of radio programs.
...listen live to thousands of RealAudio, Windows Media, QuickTime, and MP3 streams, all in one player.
The key to Radioshift is its built-in Radio Guide, which enables users to explore over 50,000 radio listings. While exploring the Guide, users can listen live to streams without worrying about the format of the stream - Radioshift supports RealAudio, Windows Media, QuickTime, and MP3 streams, all in one player. Better still, with a single click, audio can be subscribed to right from the guide. The audio will then be automatically recorded whenever it airs, with no difficult setup required. Radioshift records in the background and has audio ready for listening at any time.
This widget (for Mac OS X) lets you listen to your favorite radio stations online. Unlike other radio widgets, RadioTuner lets you customize the list of radio stations... all your favorite radio stations in one widget -- enjoy!
RealPlayer plays the great RealAudio and RealVideo content on the web, all without download delays.
This SHOUTcast server runs on Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server 2. It is a unix-style app without an Aqua interface, and has to be run in a terminal window. SHOUTcast is a streaming media system for Windows and Un*x platforms. At the center of the system is this product, the SHOUTcast Distributed Network Audio Server (DNAS). The DNAS is responsible for accepting a broadcast feed from Winamp and the SHOUTcast Source DSP plug-in, and repeating the broadcast to listeners connected to this SHOUTcast DNAS. Once your source content is being fed into the SHOUTcast DNAS, it will also, dependent on the source content's configuration, list itself with the SHOUTcast directory so listeners can locate your broadcast.
Streamers uses Safari, WireTap, iCal 1.5.1 or greater, and iTunes to automate the process of recording internet audio streams for later playback in iTunes (and on an iPod). You will need all four applications for Streamers to work. (Note that you will also need Quicktime Player, RealPlayer and Windows Media Player. I'd like to workaround this, but applescript appears to require these apps all to be present if they're supported.)
Important! In Wiretap: (Download from Ambrosia Software.) In WireTap's preferences, specify the Desktop as the location to which files should be saved. Make sure the "Application Name" checkbox is deselected. Select the "Prefix" checkbox, and enter only "recording" in the text field. Deselect the checkbox next to "Open files after recording them."
